The
"BVI" with its predictable sailing is arguably the best sailing
venue in the world. "Line of sight" navigation, deep water,
numerous anchorages, good snorkeling and numerous "interesting" bars
and restaurants make these islands a must for less experiences sailors, and
those wanting a really relaxing holiday.
The Sir Francis Drake channel is 32 miles long and has an infinite variety of
anchorages from the Bight at Norman Island (said to be the inspiration for
Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island with its great snorkeling at the
caves, the Baths at Virgin Gorda and our favorite - Anegada with its great
beaches at Loblolly and Cowcrash.
Try a "Pain Killer" made from the legendary rum. With famous bars
and a wide range of eateries, you do not even have to cook if you don't want to.
The BVI is home to possibly the largest charter fleet anywhere and whether it
is a bareboat, crewed yacht, a "stateroom" cabin option on a crewed
monohull or catamaran, a bareboat flotilla, a motor yacht or participation in
one of the island race regattas, we can probably help you. |
